American Idol' judge Steven Tyler found himself on the receiving end of criticism yesterday. Tyler, in a glittery New England Patriots scarf, sang 'The Star Spangled Banner' before the Raven - Patriots AFC championship game. Congratulations are in order for ‘American Idol‘ judge and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler! After rumors broke out early this week, the rocker’s longtime jeweler confirmed that Tyler did indeed pop the question to Erin Brady in Hawaii over the holidays.

Rumor has it that ‘American Idol‘ judge Steven Tyler got engaged to girlfriend Erin Brady over the holidays, as Brady was spotted wearing a diamond ring in Maui on Christmas Day.

Steven Tyler's promotional machine is working overtime.  He'll debut the video for his new song, "(It) Feels So Good" tonight on American Idol, just nine days after the release of his memoir, "Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?" Steven Tyler, whose new book, "Does the Noise in My Head Bother You" hits bookstores Tuesday. He tells People Magazine, "Left up to my own devices, I probably would have been dead several times over."

I am so glad that Hollywood Week is starting on American Idol.  Usually, I enjoy the auditions, but this season it felt long and tedious to me.  Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez put so many undeserving contestants through at the start of the auditions, that I began to get frustrated.

Of course, American Idol is about finding the next big star that has the entire "package", voice, stage presence, looks and confidence.  However, it should not be just about the looks!

Steven Tyler was so inappropriate during last night's show that I was embarrassed  for him.  It felt so awkward when he made lewd and suggestive comments to the young female contestants.  A couple of these gals were 16 years old, seriously; he could be there grandfather!  Watch the video clip of just one example:

Of course last night was the 10th season premiere of American Idol.  I have been saying that it's not going to be the same without Simon, but I was pleasantly surprised.

So, Steven Tyler stated on The Leno Show that "he has never watched American Idol".  What?

I am the self-proclaimed biggest American Idol fan in the country.  I watch the show every week, I vote for my favorites not just once, but up to 100 times if I really like contestant.  I Google the contestants, host and judges just to find out as much information as I can about them.  All that being said, I am concerned about what my show will be like without Simon Cowell.
