'Sparkle' which was filmed partially in Detroit, will be Whitney Houston's final movie. It tells the story of a Supremes-like group in the 1960s, and also stars American Idol Jordin Sparks. 'Sparkle' is scheduled for release on August 17th.

In the latter months of 2011, Whitney Houston was in Detroit filming scenes from what will now be her last movie, 'Sparkle.'
