A new strain of COVID-19 has been found in Jackson County MI, and researchers are saying that its origins were found in South Africa. This new variant also called  B.1.351 ( such a weird name) is more contagious than the normal coronavirus, but experts are saying that the current COVID-19 vaccine might be enough to combat the new strain...

When Martin Pistorious was 12 years old, he started to lose his ability to move. Doctors suspected meningitis, but it was too late. His body was paralyzed and slipped into a coma.

Although many states have enacted laws forbidding drivers from using their cell phones while behind the wheel, the fines for doing so are often so minimal that they often aren’t much of a deterrent. But Cape Town, South Africa might have found the secret to compliance: cops there won’t just ticket you, they’ll take your phone away for 24 hours.

The students at Westwood heights are trying to help less fortunate students in South Africa with their can and bottle drive. Their goal is to raise $1,000. Thus far the 50 participants in the drive have collected more than 15 garbage and grocery bags full, but are still far short of the 10,000 bottles needed to reach their goal.
