			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My two year old Golden Retriever, Sammi, met a skunk face-to-face for the first time this morning and, you guessed it, she got sprayed. So what to do first? If this should happen to your pet, you need to be prepared to act quickly to minimize the smell.</p>
<p>Time is of the essence if you don't want your dog and your home to reek of skunk perfume for a long time. There is a solution that will greatly reduce the smell and make your life at least tolerable until it wears off. If you have pets and they roam outdoors, make sure that you have a quart of hydrogen peroxide, some Dawn Dish Soap, and some baking soda on hand. Here's the plan for "de-skunking" your pet (or yourself).</p>
