As of 1:30 pm today, it appears that phone service throughout Michigan is beginning to be restored. We'll update this story as more progress is made.

I got a call from my babysitter just before 9:00am telling me that the bus never showed up to pick up the kids for school. They had been waiting for close to an hour, so I decided to drive the kids myself. When I tried calling the school, I got the message, "the number you have reached has been disconnected or is no longer in service."

Incredible Video Of School Bus Crash In Indiana [VIDEO]

Some incredible video out of Carmel, Indiana shows a school bus crash near Indianapolis. The surveillance video from inside the bus shows the driver going along when he is suddenly thrown from his seat after hitting a bump.

He clings to the steering wheel as the bus veers, but when the bus slams into a home garage, he gets thrown into the stairwell. Fortunately, no kids were on board at the time. Police say no one was seriously hurt in the crash.

Note to self, buckle up. Take a look from inside the bus.

Most Incredible Tornado Video Inside A School Bus [VIDEO]

This story could have had a totally different ending. Surveillance video shows the inside of a school bus in Henryville, Indiana, as a tornado hit on March 2nd. The twister threw the bus into a building. Eleven school children and the driver had just evacuated the bus.

If it were not for the quick thinking of the bus driver this story could have had a very tragic ending. See for yourself after the jump.

When I watching the news last night, I was shocked to find that a preschool student at Beecher's Tucker Elementary was overlooked and left on the bus for more than two-and-a-half hours.

It turns out that the aide who was supposed to ensure all students were safely off the bus somehow missed Deandre Jones, who was sleeping when the bus arrived at the school.
