Friday, November 11th at noon the Salvation Army will kick off the 2011 Red Kettle Campaign with a special ceremony at their downtown offices in Flint. The local goal for 2011 will be announced then and light refreshments will be served. Last year, nearly 1 million dollars was raised to help families in need in Flint and Genesee County. The majority of the Salvation Army's funds come from the Red Kettle campaign, so they hope you can help when you see their bellringers.

The Salvation Army of Genesee County is hosting a job fair to find bell ringers for the approaching holiday season. Applicants can apply next Wednesday, October 12th at two locations in Flint.
