This was a close game.  A pitcher's duel.  It took 13 innings, but the outcome was still a bitter one for Tiger fans as Cleveland wins in walkoff fashion again, this time 3-2.

The Tigers losing streak is now at four games, and this one was the ugliest as they fell to Cleveland 9-5.  Carlos Santana hit a walk-off grand slam off Tiger set-up reliever Joquin Benoit to put the exclamation point on Detroit's latest defeat.

It's the first time the Tigers have won a road series this season.  After a terrible beating at the hands of the weak-hitting Seattle Mariners last night, the Tigers rode the suddenly good pitching of Rick Porcello to beat the M's 3-2 this afternoon.

It started out badly.  It ended much worse.  Tiger starter Phil Coke walked 4 Mariner hitters in the first inning and gave up a hit to put his team in a 4-0 hole.  They would never recover.

You had to stay up late to see most of action in this one, but it was worth it!  Miguel Cabrera hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth to tie the game up at 1-1 to send it into extra innings.

The Tigers have had their issues with winning on the road in recent years.  Perhaps that is about to change.  It did for one night anyway, as Phil Coke got his first win of the season for the Tigers.  Coke scattered three hits over 7 innings as the Tigers shut out the Oakland A's 3-0.

At least the game on Saturday was fairly close.  Today the Tigers were never really in it.  4 errors, mediocre pitching and spotty hitting let Kansas City get away with a 9-5 win over the Tigers.  Rick Porcello takes the loss and now sports an 0-2 record.  The Tigers are in last place in the American League Central with a 3-6 record.
