This is not something you would run into everyday while strolling along on the beach. This guy thought he would give the shark a hand or two.
The man wanted to go back into his burning Detroit home and rescue his dogs. Firefighters told him to stay back. Then two of the firefighters emerge with his beloved dogs. The dogs are motionless in the firefighters’ arms and appear to be suffering from severe smoke inhalation. Watch what happens next after the jump.
This kind of looks like a lost episode of 'Flipper'. George Heheman and his daughter Kerry Ware were on their boat in the Intracoastal near Fort George Island, Jacksonville when they saw the beached animal stranded above water.
A video shot by Mr Heheman's 11-year-old grandson, Justin, captured the ordeal on camera, as the father-daughter team struggled to free the marine mammal they say weighed 300lbs.
Great job! Take a look.
The dash-cam video will make you say, "Oh dear, is this cute!"
A police officer in Huron County has been getting a lot of hits on YouTube, and a lot of praise from PETA. Officer Ryan Swartz of the Huron County Sheriff's Department responded a car-deer accident on Hellems Road in Dwight Township Friday, and found a dazed doe standing in the middle of the road.
Swartz picked up the doe, and gently moved her to the opposite side of the road. He took a minute to pet the animal, before she sprinted off.
These people deserve recognition, and police in Logan, Utah are searching for the bystanders who banded together to pull a motorcyclist from underneath a burning car.
I could do without the play-by-play from the people shooting the video from a nearby office building, though.
