If you've been waiting and waiting to make a wish on a shooting star, tonight's your night! In fact, you may want to have a few wishes ready for the next few nights.
It looks as though the weather may put a damper on our enjoyment of the annual Perseid Meteor Showers, which take place August 9-13. The most meteor activity should come on the 10th through the 12th, with as many as 100 per hour.
