According to Yahoo! Sports, Reebok made NFL players custom gloves and shoes to be worn on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, but this could be a fineable offense by the NFL if players choose to wear the gear. The NFL once fined Peyton Manning when he chose to break the NFL's strict uniform code -- if they adhere to this strict code, there could be multiple fines in the league.
September 6, 2011 The Detroit Lions finished up a perfect (4-0) exhibition season and are ready for the "real" season to begin. After finishing last season with four straight wins, there is hope for these Lions. They won all four exhibition games this season and are holding high hopes for 2001-12.
Of course, winning all your exhibition games doesn't mean much. The last time they did that they went 0-16 on the season. But each year brings new hope. There are couple of things that the Lions need to have go right this year if they are to turn around a lengthy string of losing seasons.
July 24, 2011 NFL owners voted overwhelmingly to approve a tentative agreement with the players union for a 10- year agreement to end the four-month old lockout. Thursday's vote was 31-0 with the Oakland raiders abstaining.

The night before Super Bowl I, Green Bay Packers’ back-up wide receiver Max McGee violated team curfew and partied until the wee hours of the morning, figuring he had little chance of playing in the game.
The Super Bowl hasn't always been so super. In fact, throughout the '80s and into the first half of the '90s many of the games were blowouts the likes of which are rarely seen during the regular season.
We've had better luck with Super Bowls lately, and this year's match-up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers is about as even as can be.
So maybe Sunday's game will end up being a classic. But for now we can count down the five best Super Bowls ever played.
