In celebration of the release of Alicia Keys new album 'Girl on Fire,' a light show was held at the Empire State Building in New York. The Grammy-winning songbird flipped the switch to launch the LED tower light display, which was also synchronized to her anthemic tunes 'Girl on Fire' and 'Empire State of Mind.'

I was shocked this morning when I heard about a woman who was killed in a New York elevator accident.
Suzanne Hart, a 41-year-old employee at an advertising agency, was on her way to work on the first floor of the building around 10am. As she entered, the doors closed on her. As the elevator began its ascent, it crushed her while pulling her up into the shaft.

On Monday morning, Michael A. Davitt, a former New York State employee and known rabblerouser, delayed traffic on the Tappan Zee bridge in Rockland County.
