Flubbing the National Anthem is becoming a tradition. Actually, American Idol Scotty McCreery made a good recovery after some technical difficulties at Wednesday night's World Series game between the Cardinals and Rangers. But about a minute later he joined the ranks of Christina Aguilera, Roseanne Barr, and many others as he seemed to flub, "Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave..."

"No José does that star-spangled banner yet wave..."? Would that be José ValVerde? José Cuervo? José Feliciano?

Christina Aguilera has the right kind of voice to belt out a memorable national anthem. Unfortunately, her performance at Super Bowl XLV will be remembered for the wrong reason.

As you've probably heard, Aguilera flubbed the anthem, forgetting the lyric "oíer the ramparts we watched."

Aguilera is far from the first person to botch the Star Spangled Banner. Check out last night's flub and seven other singers who made a mess of the anthem on much smaller stages.

About :51 sec in, as she was about to sing the fourth line (“o’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming”) she sang this line: “what so proudly, we watched, at the twilight’s last streaming.” Here is the video.
