February 24, 2012 The Oscars are Sunday, so who do you think will win? Movies up for Best Picture include "The Artist," "Moneyball," "The Descendants," "The Help,", "Midnight in Paris," "The Tree of life," "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close," "War Horse," and "Hugo." I haven't seen any of these movies, but I have read "The Help," so I hope they win the Oscar.
There are a lot of movies to look forward to in 2012. So many, in fact, it’s easy to lose track of everything. We took a look back at some of the best movie trailers of the year to give you an idea of what 2012 has to offer at the movie theater. While the year is still young, there are already some amazing trailers.
Ticket prices for movies recently hit an all-time high of almost $8.00, and with the current state of the economy, that’s meant a lot of people don’t head to cineplexes as often as they used to.
But that doesn’t mean folks aren’t seeing movies — they’re just finding more cost-effective ways to do it.

July 15, 2011 Blockbuster quickly moved in for the kill, and is now offering angry Netflix customers a competitively-priced alternative plan. Netflix announced Tuesday that it plans to separate DVD service from its streaming service, thereby raising rates for customers that want both, by about 60%. In essence, the California company is restructuring its services, separating streaming and DVD movie rentals into two different plans, and significantly raising the price for those of us who want both.

March 29, 2011 If you ever wanted to know how to get your mom to watch movies with you, just ask Robert Tuttle for a little advice. Last Thursday, the 22-year-old allegedly forced his mother to watch hours of movies with him by threatening her with his axe.
According to the 60-year-old mother, Tuttle was drunk and began swinging the ax throughout the home, destroying items in the house. She says he also took a swing at her, but she ducked to avoid death-by-axe. He then forced her to keep him company while he watched movies in his bedroom.
March 22, 2011 Capt. Jack Sparrow is back!
Today, Yahoo! released the official theatrical trailer for 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,' the fourth installment in Disney's mega-popular movie franchise.
The new trailer includes footage of Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) on his quest to find the Fountain of Youth, as well as scenes with 'Pirates' newbies Penelope Cruz, who plays the seductive Angelica, a woman from Jack's past, and Ian McShane, as the villainous pirate Blackbeard.
February 25, 2011 A teaser trailer for "The Hangover 2" has been released and it takes place in Thailand and appears to feature a monkey. That's enough for us to see the follow-up to 2009's comedy hit.
