First there were 3D movies, but soon our future could hold 3D movie screens. Forget about 3D movies, pretty soon we could have 3D screens. A new panoramic project screen was unveiled this year by Hyundai. The basis for the screen is that it is made up of move-able blocks that can push in or out giving it a rippling type of effect. The screen has thousands of these cube-like blocks that measure almost afoot across. This allows the image to be 3D with a screen that moves with it.

TwitterToday, director Adam Shankman tweeted a brand-new photo from the set of his new movie, ‘Rock of Ages,’ featuring a never before seen glimpse of stars Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand in full-on rock mode.

In the movie, set during the ’80s, Baldwin plays Dennis Dupree, an aging rocker who is now the owner of club The Bourbon Room. Brand, meanwhile, plays Dennis’ right-hand man, Lonny, who also serves as the story’s narrator.

It will be interesting to see what age group fills the movie seats when the new Muppet movie comes out. A lot of parents grew up watching the Muppets, I think the movie will be huge.

Memorial Day is right around the corner, but we’re more psyched for Thanksgiving. The teaser trailer for ‘The Muppets,’ which comes out just in time for turkey day, is now out. Take a look after the jump.

Rio Flies High at Weekend Box Office

Once again, an animated movie found itself ruling the weekend box office.

In this case, it was 'Rio.' The high-flying kids' movie, which features the voice talent of Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg and more, pulled in an estimated $40 million, making it the year's best opening thus far.

Coming in at a distant second was the much-anticipated 'Scream 4,' which opened with an underwhelming $19.3 million. That number is especially disappointing, considering 'Scream 3' grossed $34.7 million in its opening weekend 11 years ago.
