Research indicates that traffic fatalities are on the decline in states like Michigan, where medical marijuana is legal.

Economists Daniel Rees of the University of Colorado Denver and Mark Anderson of Montana State University conducted the study, and found that fatalities are down an average of 9% in the thirteen states that have made doctor-prescribed pot acceptable.

Genesee County Affected By Medical Marijuana Ruling?

With yesterday's ruling from the Michigan Court of Appeals banning patient to patient marijuana sales at dispensaries, several could be affected in Genesee County. The Flint Journal reports this would allow prosecutors to shut down the dispensaries, but Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton said it's up to the communities to bring up the issue:
