I was a judge in last nights karaoke contest at Goodfellas in Grand Blanc. It happens every Wednesday night and our own Jeremy Fenech is the host. The one thing about being a judge is the dilemma that comes about from voting. In last night's contest, how do you vote against Kermit the Frog? Here are the details:

Robert Wilkinson belted out a nearly-flawless rendition of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' from the back of police car. Wilkinson, arrested for intoxication, pours emotion into the song, and you can really hear his angst after he exclaims, "I have done nothing wrong!" Nope, this didn't happen in Flint, but nothing would surprise me.

I have been hosting karaoke in town for almost 14 years.  I really enjoy interacting with a live audience, and sometimes am blown away by some of the local talent. That being said, there have been many singers over the years that make me want to shove an ice pick in my ears.  Tonight, I have the honor of  hosting a 10-week karaoke contest to benefit the American Red Cross.
