Last week, Michigan Department of Natural Resources workers rescued a bear from a culvert on I-75 in Bay County and released it back into the wild after tagging it with a radio collar to track it's movements. Sadly, the bear was killed today after being struck by a car in Bay County's Garfield Township.
I lived in Evansville, Indiana for five years back at the turn of the century, and drove home often to visit with friends and family. I enjoyed the eight-hour drive, and found that there are several different ways to make the trip.
I became very fond of the stretch of I-75 that went through downtown Cincinnati. I haven't made that trip in a while, and this recent vacation gave me the opportunity to drive the stretch of 75 from Cincinnati to Florida for the first time.
For the first time in my life, my family and I are taking a vacation where we will be completely unreachable for 5 days. It will be a nice change of pace to be separated from my cell phone and the internet.
Before we isolate ourselves, we have to drive the great I-75 to Florida. Going through so many big cities, there are bound to be some neat places along the way.
