The prior policy placed a charge on adopting the animal, with a fee toward spay/neutering, but up to 50% of the people never followed through with the veterinarian. Now, the Humane Society is pleased to announce that it will be adding a new spay/neuter addition to the complex with part-time or voluntary veterinarians. It is breaking ground with ceremonies on August 31st at noon.

My newly adopted cats name is Sebastian and I picked him up from the Humaine Society on Dort Hwy. I will tell you that my experience in visiting the Humane Society was rather depressing, for a better lack of terms, due to all the animals that are without a home (I'm a bit of a softy when it comes to animals.) So in keeping to the spirits of adopting a pet, I ran across this commercial for the Humane Society that made me think of all the homeless animals sitting in shelters everywhere. Check it out!
