Be prepared for some delays today around Burton and Davison.Construction starts this morning on the Irish road bridge over I-69. One lane in each direction on I-69 will be closed in each direction for the duration of the construction. Work will conclude at 10pm nightly. The project is expected to be over in August.

Genesee County to Pay Flint $1 Million for River Water as Backup Source

Genesee County will pay the city of Flint approximately $1 million a year to use Flint River water as a backup water source. The county needs to have a backup source of water in case of emergency, such as a major pipeline break, power outage or contamination. The water would be treated, just like the water that the city currently gets from Detroit.

Scary Future Looms For Flint Tomorrow

Is Flint facing another takeover by the state?
A municipal bankruptcy?
How is payroll going to be met tomorrow for city employees?
Speculation is rampant this week after the state put the brakes on the city's request to borrow $20 million to cover its deficits.
Without the loan, the city will have only about a half- million dollars in cash on hand. That's not nearly enough to meet payroll expenses of $1.5 million to $2 million every two weeks.
