I was an avid watcher of the ABC soap opera 'General Hospital' during the summer of 1981. It was the summer leading up to my October wedding so I watched with great interest the wedding of Diana and Prince Charles, and the wedding of television royalty, Luke and Laura. Will Katie Couric Kill 'General Hospital'?

With her exit at 'CBS Evening News' imminent, it looks like Katie Couric may be eyeing a position at rival network ABC.

Sources tell TMZ that Couric is considering a $20 million dollar deal with the network, with plans to launch a syndicated talk show in Sept. 2012. In addition to a talk show, Couric would reportedly do specials for ABC News, '20/20' and "a significant amount of fill-in work, including anchoring." (Somewhere, Diane Sawyer is freaking out.)
