Lesbian Denied Communion at Mother’s Funeral, Wants Priest Ousted [VIDEO]
March 1, 2012 Barbara Johnson is calling for the Rev. Marcel Guarnizo of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Gaithersburg, Md. to be relieved of his duties.
Johnson has been married to her partner for two years, and when she attempted to take Communion at her mother's funeral Mass, the priest blocked the cup with his hand, and called her a sinner in front of the church. He left the altar during her eulogy, then walked out on the graveside burial ceremony.
