It's a good feeling to see the Weather Ball in Downtown Flint more red than blue these days.  After those record-breaking temperatures we had this past Sunday, the summer traditions in and around Flint don't seem as far away as they did when we were shoveling snow just a few weeks ago.

When we were at Back to the Bricks last summer, I noticed how much Downtown Flint has come back to life.  The beauty is returning with new buildings, new restaurants, renovations, (we won't mention the Genesee Towers), and the good ol' Weather Ball.

Since it's April Fools' Day, I thought I'd share something that happened last year on April 1st.  Davison resident, and longtime Cars 108 listener, Becky Jiminez, (a.k.a. "Pat") hit it big on "The Price Is Right".  If you didn't get a chance to see it, it's fun to watch, and the video is after the jump.

The other video is something my kids caught on the Game Show Network.  A Flint man, and student at U of M Flint, Chad Mosher, appeared on "Million Dollar Password" in 2008.  I don't remember this getting any publicity when it happened, (maybe I was living in a cave?) so here it is.

A municipal bankruptcy?
How is payroll going to be met tomorrow for city employees?
Speculation is rampant this week after the state put the brakes on the city's request to borrow $20 million to cover its deficits.
Without the loan, the city will have only about a half- million dollars in cash on hand. That's not nearly enough to meet payroll expenses of $1.5 million to $2 million every two weeks.
