The Diplo-Dash Retread 5k run/walk is this Thursday, June 7th at the Flint YMCA at 411 E. Third Street. Both events start at 6:30 pm. It's a flat and fast course and makes for good speedwork for those training for the Crim. It also benefits the Diplomat Helping Hands Foundation, which assists low income patients in getting needed medications.

The New Year's Resolution 8k run and 5k walk will take place on Saturday, December 31st at 2:00 pm at the downtown Flint YMCA at 411 East 3rd Street. If your goal is to be fit and active in 2012, why not start a little early? 8k (kilometers) is just under 5 miles, 5k is just over 3 miles, both distances are very doable even if you haven't been training.
