Recently there were two new studies released that might make us re-think things. The research suggests that the older generation is not immune to the challenges of addiction.
We’ve all heard the stories of elderly drivers with poor vision who drive through the front of stores or hit pedestrians — just watch South Park. If you’re one of those people who are freaked out by these often times urban legends, a new study from the University of Michigan might freak you out even more. Apparently, for the first time there are more older drivers on the road than younger drivers.
November 30, 2011 An Illinois man accidentally gave away his life savings when he made a clothing donation to his local Goodwill store. The 80-year-old man, who lived through the Great Depression, didn't trust banks, so he had sewn the $13,000 nest-egg into the lining of a coat.

October 26, 2011 The 87-year-old man was stopped on I-94 near Ann Arbor, and was hauling nearly $3 million worth of cocaine. Leo Sharp has not been in trouble before, and claims that he was forced at gunpoint to move the drugs.

If convicted, the man could face life in prison.
February 9, 2011 A lot of people were saddened by this video of a 65-year-old robber repeatedly apologizing to the convenience store clerk he was robbing. The "Polite Robber" spoke in a soft voice, used the word “sir” and remorsefully told the clerk that he needed money to pay rent and feed his kids.
However, it seems they needn't have felt bad for the the thief, who was arrested after a tipster recognized him in the video. It turns he has been arrested for similar crimes before, and he isn’t currently supporting any children. Keep reading to see the video.
