On Wednesday, Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson talked about the changes to driver responsibility fees and how drivers are now able to complete community service in place of paying some of the charges.
A local group is on a mission to organize community service activity to help make Flint a better place to live and work. They are looking for volunteers who would like to help with things like light raking or picking up trash on our streets. They plan to meet this Saturday, August 20th at Dort Elementary school at 601 E. Witherbee St, near Saginaw St. and Hamilton Avenue. Bring your own work glove
Eight-year-old Rose Muennix from Flint is no ordinary eight-year-old. Rose has been named a semifinalist in the 2011 search for Huggable Heroes, and is one of 75 young leaders recognized and honored by Build-A-Bear Workshop for helping make their communities and world a better place.
