He has been undergoing chemotherapy for almost two months, but finds himself weak and losing ground to the cancer. There was a recent fundraiser that he was too ill to attend, and the spokesman for the 62 year old Gibb said he was fighting hard and heading home to be with his family.

Here's another stupid person in the news today. A girl in Texas claimed she had leukemia and raised $17,000, but after a further investigation it was learned it was all a scam. Angie Gomez told friends, classmates and teachers that her cancer had returned so many helped her with fundraisers, while schools asked her to talk about her illness.

Butterflies To Honor Cancer Kids

About 150 butterflies will be released this Saturday in honor of children who have battled cancer. The event begins at noon at Payton's Place, a pavilion at Elms Road Elementary School. At 1pm the group will release the butterflies in sync with 11 other similar events across the country. There will also be a kickball game at 2pm that is open to all ages.
