42 Years Ago Today – Beatles Break-Up!

It seems impossible to believe. First, that it was really that long ago, and secondly, that it ever could happen to the greatest, most successful rock group of all-time. The Beatles coming to America in 1964 ignited a wave of British acts into Billboard's music charts, in what would be called the "British Invasion". It was April 10th, 1970 when they called it quits. Today on the Cars Classic lunch we'll pull out some of your favorite Beatles tunes. Join me with your requests.

You could do a laundry list of their chart hit success. At one time in April of 1964 they held the top five positions on Billboards Top 40, No one else has ever come close to that record. Were they the greatest rock band ever? Vote after the jump:

It simply blows my mind how fast kids grow up. My oldest, Ben, is turning 6 today. I can't believe how fast those years have gone by. I'm not sure what's worse... how fast he is growing up, or that he shares a birthday with Cars 108's George McIntyre!

I wanted to post the song "Happy Birthday To You" for him, but Sir Paul McCartney owns the rights to it and I don't want to get in trouble. So instead...
