There is one word, and one word only to describe this video: OUCH (in all CAPS)!!!

Before today's game, the Detroit Tigers retired former manager Sparky Anderson's uniform number.  It was a moving ceremony, with most of the 84 Tigers (Detroit's last championship) in attendance.  The ball game was well-pitched until the late innings.  Starter Brad Penny gave up two runs in the 7th and left the game behind 2-1.  Arizona starter Joe Saunders made it through 7 giving up only a solo

Justin Verlander has been the most dominant pitcher in baseball this season.  He racked up his 10th win tonight by striking out 14 Arizona Diamondback hitters in  a 6-0 Tiger victory.  The win pulls the Tigers back into a first-place tie with the Cleveland Indians, who lost 1-0 to San Francisco today.

Phil Coke hasn't had much in the way of run support this season.  He got plenty tonight as the Tigers scored six runs in the first 4 innings.  Coke left the game after giving back six to the Diamondbacks in 4 2/3rds innings and didn't figure in the decision.
