There's one more Super Bowl commercial that you probably haven't seen - in fact most of us didn't see it Sunday night, because it only aired in North Platte, Nebraska.

And this is no big budget ad featuring Jerry Seinfeld, Matthew Brodderick or Regis - it's a low rent spot with the one and only Will Ferrell pitching 'Old Milwaukee' beer. But it's getting more Internet buzz than most of the big guys' commercials. A lot more:

US Senate candidate Pete Hoekstra unveiled a new ad campaign during this year's Super Bowl contest. The commercial was definitely not as slick as offerings from Budweiser, (featuring their famous Clydesdales) or others, but it is getting plenty of attention. Criticism, actually.

Naysayers claim the ad's use of an Asian woman speaking broken English is offensive and racist.

Even if you use TiVo to skip through the commercials, you still get blasted by them if you don't dive for the remote quite fast enough. That will change about a year from now when the FCC's new rules go into effect, stipulating that TV commercials can't be louder than the programming.

Now if they would just introduce a rule to make TV commercials less obnoxious!

Many people have been passing this video around on Facebook, so I wanted to make sure you had a chance to see Bud's Clydesdale-tribute to the victims of the 9/11 tragedy.

Supposedly Anheuser Busch only aired the commercial once, in order to acknowledge and pay tribute to the event, but not profit from it financially. I now understand that CBS aired the commercial during its NFL presentation today, in recognition of the 10-year anniversary of 9/11.

Watching the president's speech tonight jogged my memory. He spoke of technology, and bringing the Internet to rural areas. There was mention of what will be possible in the future.

Sound familiar? This reminded me of AT&T's "You Will" campaign, from 1993. Except for the phone booths, these predicted the future rather accurately, didn't they?
