Susan Boyle has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome.  Asperger Syndrome is a form of autism. In her youth she was mis-diagnosed and the recent ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ singer says she now feels relieved to know the truth.

Boyle, 52, suffers from the disease which has an effect on social and communication skills. She dealt with learning issues as a youngster and was a victim of bullying because of her difficulties with learning. They originally suspected that her issues were caused by brain damage due to a lack of oxygen at birth..

“I have always known that I have had an unfair label put upon me, Now I have a clearer understanding of what’s wrong, and I feel relieved and a bit more relaxed about myself,” she said.
