Sunday Funday Bike Rides Start This Weekend in Flint

Trust me, even if you haven't ridden a bike since you were a kid, you really never forget how.

And it's a great way to get exercise! The Friends of the Flint River Trail will begin meeting this and every Sunday until October for social 12-mile round-trip rides. They've been doing it for 20 years and they're not about to stop now.

They have riders come in from over 30 different zip codes to ride the Flint River Trail, and that's not all - on the second Sunday of the month, they stop for ice cream. And on the second Saturday of the month, they visit other trails around the area.

As a recreational cyclist, I can't tell you how much I love this. Safety in numbers - much more fun with a group.

Riders should meet by 2 PM on Sunday at the old Flint Farmers Market.
