Students Could Play On Sports Teams According To Their Gender Identity

Chrisleishman, Flickr

A law is trying to get passed in California, to make it okay for students to try out for sports according to their “gender identity” instead of their “biological sex.” This means that if a boy thinks he’s a female, then he can try out for a girls’ sports team and vice versa, according to CBS Los Angeles

This new bill trying to get passed comes after a recent law passed, requiring schools to teach about gay historical figures. The hearing on the bill will take place next week. Even though it’s in California, how would you feel about this law if it got passed here? Would you have a problem if a boy tried out for girls’ tennis or a girl feeling like she’s a boy try out for boys’ soccer?
