Paris Gray will graduate, and will be allowed to speak at her commencement ceremony as planned -- but her fate was temporarily in question when school officials discovered that the senior had published a clever, yet controversial, quote next to her yearbook photo.

"When the going gets tough just remember to Barium, Carbon, Potassium, Thorium, Astatine, Arsenic, Sulfur, Uranium, Phosphorus."

Using symbols from the Periodic Table, the elements in Gray's quote translate to "Back That A-- Up."

Gray said she simply meant to advise fellow classmates that if the going gets tough, they simply have to go back, and start from the beginning.
