Katie Vyktoriah's account of what happened at her local Walmart store has begun to go viral, and outrage for a stranger who overstepped is mounting.

The Florida woman was shopping with her two sons, one of whom had donned a pink headband. The man, upon learning that her older son Dexter was a boy, removed the headband, threw it into the bottom of the cart, and tapped the boy on the side of the head, saying, "You'll thank me later, little man!

Vyktoriah, whose detailed blog post of the incident can be found here, responded, "If you touch my son again, I will cut your damn hands off!" The stranger called her son a derogatory name as he smugly walked off.

The author's Facebook page states that she spoke with her local police department the following day, and has been advised against making further comment about the incident.

"The Polk County Sheriff's Deputy has just left our home, and all information about the original Wal Mart incident and the ongoing harassment has been documented and is being dealt with. I have been advised NOT to say any more about the situation, as the investigation is ongoing, so thank you all for your support, but I am going to be offline for the next while until all of this is resolved."

The Huffington Post has a full account of the mother's story here, and has posted a video of their Skype chat with her.
