‘Star Wars: Episode 7′ Has Officially Resumed Filming
For awhile there, it looked like ‘Star Wars: Episode 7‘ was in trouble. Harrison Ford had broken his leg in a freak Millennium Falcon accident and there were rumors that the production was going to be shut down for weeks! Months! Forever!!! And then Harrison Ford got better and the only real damage to the schedule was a two-week break where everyone made ice bucket challenge videos and refused to answer questions to prying reporters on red carpets.
And now, ‘Star Wars: Episode 7′ has officially resumed filming.
The official word comes via EW, who say that the cast and crew have reassembled back at the legendary Pinewood Studios. Harrison Ford may have a minor limp and Mark Hamill may have hypothermia from drenching himself in ice water, but everything seems to be fine and moving forward as planned. It’s like nothing ever happened.
In other words: we still know next-to-nothing about this film in an official context except that it is currently being filmed, features ‘Star Wars’ characters and is called ‘Star Wars: Episode 7.’ Sure, we know about all of those plot and character rumors, but when it comes to official Lucasfilm announcements, we know more hard facts about Ford’s busted foot than the movie that he was filming when said foot-busting occurred.
‘Star Wars: Episode 7′ is still, somehow, scheduled to open in theaters on December 18, 2015.
