The Michigan State Spartans football team travels to South Bend this afternoon to take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame in the shadow of the famous "Touchdown Jesus". It is visible from the football field and many of Notre Dames' fantastic come-from-behind wins have given some attribution to the statue. The Spartans enter today's 3:30pm clash with a 2-0 record, while the Fighting Irish are 0-2 after the devastating loss to Michigan last week.More than 114,800 people packed Michigan Stadium last Saturday night to see a thrilling Michigan win in the final two seconds. The Spartans hope the shadow of "Touchdown Jesus" doesn't bode ill for their trip to Notre Dame today.
