Michigan State absorbed its eighth loss of the season last night, and it happened at home against their rival Michigan.  The Wolverines came to MSU sporting their own six game losing streak and upset the Spartans on their home court.   Things are really turning south for the Spartans who started the year rated #2 in the nation, and now find themselves hoping to make the NCAA tournament.  With one of their stars being kicked off the team this week, it appears that Tom Izzo needs a miracle.

This week, Izzo dismissed Korie Lucious from the team for unspecified conduct detrimental to the team, and now the Spartans are hanging by a thread with a very tough Big Ten schedule still ahead of them.  The loss to Michigan, which MSU has consistently beaten up for years, might be a sign of how deep the troubles run at MSU.  Michigan had not won at the Breslin Center since 1997.
