It was announced over the weekend that the Lifetime movie about the Flint water crisis will start filming next week in Toronto, starring Queen Latifah, Jill Scott and Betsy Brandt. The parent production company is Storyline Entertainment, supported by Sony TV.

This rubbed us the wrong way for so many reasons. First of all, they're going to profit from a movie about our city's struggle...when we haven't even fixed the problem yet?

Secondly, instead of bringing the production to Flint, as well as the jobs and publicity that come with it, they're using the Canadian tax breaks and filming in Toronto.

We're pretty irritated by this, so we've created a change.org petition, asking the production company to bring the filming to Flint.

If you feel as strongly about this as we do, please sign the petition. It only takes a few minutes. We're not afraid to be the squeaky wheel - I think we can all agree that, as of recently, we feel like we're not being heard.

So, let's make some NOISE!
