Sad news this morning for fans of this very famous child star.

CNN is reporting this morning that Shirley Temple died of natural causes at her Woodside, CA home, surrounded by her family and caregivers last night. She was 85.

The talented child star had four big box office hits by the time she was 10 years old and was paid $50,000 per movie, which was unheard of back then. She retired from film-making at the age of 22, and went on to pursue a career as a foreign diplomat.

Temple is survived by three children, a granddaughter and two great-granddaughters.

A remembrance guest book for fans to sign will be available online at shirleytemple.com.

Enjoy Shirley in a clip from the movie "Curly Top." She performs one of my all time favorites "Animal Crackers In My Soup."
