There were many events going on throughout Mid-Michigan on Saturday, and many of them ended prematurely.  Severe Storms rolled through the area prompting several severe weather warnings, and dropping as much as five inches of rain in some spots in a very short period of time.

Al Hatch made the call to end the car show a few hours early and cancel the finale concert for this year's Back To The Bricks.  Even Woodward Avenue in Detroit had to be closed in some spots during the Dream Cruise because of downed trees and power lines.  There were also reports of a transformer exploding and a tree falling on a Corvette.

In Genesee County, 3/4 inch hail was reported county-wide, and Lapeer County was doused with more than four 1/2 inches of rain.
