The second Friday of every month is Artwalk in downtown Flint.  Artwalk is a free event that goes from 6 to 9 p.m. at several venues in downtown Flint, all within a short walk from the Greater Flint Arts Council (GFAC) on Saginaw Street (next to Halo Burger).

Your best bet is to start at the GFAC and pick up a map off all the participating venues.  While you're there, grab a snack and a beverage (including beer and wine) and listen to some live music while perusing the selection of artworks on display.

From there, head out to see the other venues and also check out some of the artwork on the street.  There is supposed to be a special display using the Genesee Towers building as a backdrop for a light show.

There is always something special and unique going on at Artwalk.  There is a lot of creativity on display, most of which is created by local artists.

For more information, contact the GFAC at (810) 238-ARTS.  www.greaterflintartscouncil.org

Artwalk is one of the cool things to do in Flint and the price is right for everybody.  Free.
