Schools Want to Ban Chocolate Milk

Several school districts want to ban chocolate milk because they think the sugar is harmful for students in the long run. USA Today says a school in Los Angeles plans to take chocolate and strawberry milk off the menu for next year.

Several of my co-workers say they’re happy with the ban and hopes it will happen in districts around the local area. I always remember drinking chocolate milk in school and I still drink it now.  It never seemed to be a nutritional problem at the time.

What do you think? Is it a good idea for districts to ban flavored milk in schools?
