Sissy the schnauzer had quite the adventure! Those little stinkers have an amazing sense of smell!

Nancy Francks was in a hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, recovering from a cancer-related surgery. Little did she know that one of her two beloved schnauzers was missing.

Sissy, a 10-year-old schnauzer, had gone missing when her owner (and Nancy's husband) took her and her brother out to use the doggie restroom. Sissy took off and was nowhere to be found. Turns out, she had sniffed her way down 20 blocks and walked straight into the hospital where her owner, Nancy, was recovering.

Here's the full story from KWWL.

I'm absolutely smitten with this story, particularly because I have a 6-year-old mini schnauzer. She's the sweetest girl, and I always say that she looks like she's "sniffing a line of drugs" when she goes for a walk. Nose to the ground the ENTIRE WAY. Dogs are amazing, aren't they?
