Sam Champion Leaving Good Morning America
Sam Champion will depart 'Good Morning America' for a new opportunity at The Weather Channel. Champion made the announcement on his Twitter page this morning.
Champion will work for the cable outlet as a managing editor and as the on-air host of a new morning program beginning in 2014.
His last day at GMA will be Wednesday. (12/4)
ABC reports Michigan native Ginger Zee will take over Champion's weather position at GMA.
