Trish Staine is in training for a half marathon, and attributed her intense back pain to her grueling workout Sunday. Monday she was cradling her brand new baby girl.

Staine had no idea she was pregnant. The Duluth, Minnesota woman hadn't gained weight, missed any periods, and hadn't felt any fetal movement. She said her husband had undergone a vasectomy.

The intensity of Staine's back pain worsened Monday morning, and in the afternoon she finally called an ambulance. The mother of two and her husband were shocked to learn that medical staff detected a fetal heartbeat.

At 3:25 pm, she gave birth to a girl, weighing 6 pounds, 6 ounces. The couple has named her Mira, short for Miracle.
