A man responsible for locking up thousands of criminals in Michigan has passed away. Ron Savage didn't actually slap the cuffs on the bad guys, but had a passion for assisting law enforcement in Southeast Michigan. His weekly segment 'Michigan's Most Wanted' on Detroit's Fox 2 was a labor of love for the weekend anchor.

In addition to his 18 years at Fox 2, Savage was a dedicated firefighter who served Brighton, Walled Lake, and Milford. He volunteered for several nonprofit organizations, including the Salvation Army and the American Lung Association.

Savage died Sunday morning (2/26) while training for a fundraiser. He was 63.
