Rod and Steph recently spoke with Dana Elliott, who will be coming to Flint on April 19th for the Taste of Home Cooking School, about what attendees at the upcoming food-centric event can expect. The answer -- a whole lot of good eats and fun!

The Taste of Home Cooking School hits the Genesys Banquet and Conference Center on Friday, April 19th (click here for more details and to buy tickets) and Rod and Steph checked in with culinary specialist Dana Elliott to talk about what will be taking place at the unique event. In addition to a lot of humor and fun, Dana talked about her "Super Spring" recipes like her Bud Light Lime Jalapeno Soup, Freezer Mango Pie (think Key Lime plus Mango) and French Onion Pizza Au Gratin (don't know what that is but it sounds amazing).

Those are just a few of the recipes that Dana will prepare before the live audience, who is encouraged to interact with the show. In each gift bag, which will be given to all attendees, there will be step-by-step directions for each recipe, which, as Dana says, are there for you to "shout out" whenever she makes a mistake. All the prepared recipes will be given away as door prizes (along with the serving dish they're in) and each gift bag will include a free subscription to "Taste of Home" or "Family Handyman." Throw in free samples, massages and live music and you've got a pretty good idea of the fun times in store for those headed to the Taste of Home Cooking School.
