Rod and Erin’s Hugs for Heros

Veterans Day is just around the corner and we've teamed up with the local VFW Post 822 to send items to the HHC 1-125 National Guard Unit who are currently overseas. Join Rod and me at the VFW in Grand Blanc from 6am to noon on Friday, November 11 and help us collect items for our Hugs for Heros campaign. You'll find the list of what we're looking for after the jump.

You can drop off non-perishable shacks in single serving packages, energy bars, granola bars, non-perishable beef jerky, candy, cans of chips, hand sanitizer, mouthwash, paperback books, magazines, movies, DVDs, hand held games, batteries of all sizes, every size zip lock bag, solar showers and hand held games. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

We would appreciate any help and when you stop by you'll have a chance to meet some of the men from the unit. We also plan on featuring a different soldier every day on our site, so we'll let you know all the details. We look forward to seeing you on November 11!
