It's been a long road for 'Good Morning America' anchor Robin Roberts, who underwent a bone marrow transplant in September of last year, but the 52-year-old announced today that she will be returning to work next month. Roberts first revealed her health issues in this on-air announcement last June.

An enthusiastic Roberts made the live announcement today, saying that her doctors are giving her the green light to ease back into her role as co-anchor.

"I can begin the process of returning to the anchor chair. I'm coming home. All right, all right!"

Roberts outlined her doctors' plans to help her acclimate to an early schedule and get used to the rigors of returning to work. She even quipped about her baldness, when referring to the "hair and makeup" process, showing how comfortable she is in her own skin.
