Warm weather is on the way, and while that mostly brings out all of the good things in Michigan, it also brings out the orange road construction barrels.

MDOT has started to lay out the plans for road construction in Genesee County and surrounding areas.  The plan details more than $100 Million in projects in our area alone.

The  I-69 project in Flint will run from Dort Highway to Center Road.  Starting this week, the crews will resurface both sides of the expressway, but promise to keep two lanes of traffic open in both directions. The ramps at Dort Highway and Center Road will probably be closed a various times.

Check out some more of the projects planned by MDOT below.
